I have been a client of Jo Spain for a number of years and in that time Jo has been a blessing to me. Her professionalism is outstanding but at the same time she provides a persona of kindness, calmness and an ability to present/guide and resolve with reality and perspective. Her generosity with these attributes and her time got me through some very difficult periods and I cannot thank her enough for that.

I was lucky enough to stumble across Alison just when I needed her.I'd spent 250 for an introductory meeting with another firm, who gave me no more information than the CAB.My first meeting with Alison was free,she got straight to the point and followed up the meeting with an email outlining what we had discussed and guidance for the next steps.She dealt with my challenging ex brilliantly and kept me brave when I would've given in to the threats and let him win. Ultimatel, what separates Alison from the rest is that she is human.She is very approachable and honest with expectations, I do believe with a different solicitor I wouldn't have had such a great outcome.The office is based out of town with parking so is convenient to drop paperwork off.I can't recommend Alison highly enough she was efficient, conscientious and understanding.Don't hesitate to use her services.

Fantastic experience with Jo Spain of SpainWilliams.....she made the whole awful and emotional business of divorce so much simpler. Although Jo's office was based in Ashford I never had to travel there once!! Jo communicated with me via email and telephone and was always available if something cropped up that worried me. I can't express enough how grateful I was for SpainWilliams services.

Being a specialist divorce solicitor without ever appearing to be profiting from such a traumatic situation takes a special skill, and Jo Spain has it. While the opposite side appeared to do little other than send letters and invoices, Jo maintained total integrity throughout, keeping things respectful and focused on the fact that there were real people with painfully real emotions involved, not just "clients" with credit cards. If ever emotions were inflamed, Jo's ability to calm things down and find a way forward was incredible. No one ever wants to be in the situation where they have to recommend a divorce solicitor to a friend, but if anyone I knew needed such help, then I would have not a second's hesitation in giving them Jo's details.
