Main Ridge West Dental Practice

I have had to have several appointments due to a problem with my teeth and on every visit the whole team here at Main Ridge have been wonderful. They have all been totally dedicated to resolving my issues and I simply cannot thank Chris, Fran, Carly and Nikki enough for their efforts (and patience) with me.

I have had 3 appointments now, one for the new patient examination and two for fillings and i've been really happy with all of them. Both Chris and Fran are very friendly and professional and talked me through what they were doing. The receptionist was very helpful and the dental nurses did a good job too so i'm happy i chose this dental practice.

So pleased I found this place. After suffering tooth ache for months during lock down, following unsucessful private root canal treatment elsewhere, I felt confident that this dentist knows his stuff. He took time to xray my teeth and then explain what was going on with different options for treatment and costs involved. The previous dentist I used had no time for this, always asking me what I wanted doing! I always felt rushed like they had no time for me. (I'm no dental expert)! At last a private dentist that isnt money driven, takes time to explain things and who really cares about your teeth. In addition he sent me to Pilgrim to have a full scan which if I'd have had this done at the previous surgery, it would have cost a fortune. It cost nothing via the hospital. I turned up for two seperate appointments which were booked for an hour for ongoing treatment. However my gums were sore with an abscess. 15 for a course of antibiotics and no charge for the appointment booked. Second appointment, my gums were still having problems so again, no charge but another appointment booked to give time for them to heal. I have had many unpleasant experiences at various dentists, both private and NHS, so I can't tell you how relieved I am to find one. At last, I feel confident with them and they have my trust. He gave me root canal on my bottom dog tooth and I didnt even need an injection. So good to walk out there, pain free without feeling someone had punched me in the face. I hate injections in the mouth. However he will give them if you'd like one. The previous dentist gave me around 7 for the failed root canal that they had to remove a couple of months later. Their first dentist struggled so I had to wait in the car until their seniour dentist was free for an hour then get injected all over again! It was so uncomfortable, giving me more discomfort throughout lockdown as the tooth became loose. Not only that, it cost a fortune as I had to pay to have it removed after paying to have root canal! They refused to treat to another tooth that was giving me toothache while I was there, the same side, saying I'd have to make another appointment (@ 75) as they didnt have time! That was the day before the first lockdown! I have every confidence in Christoph at Main Ridge Dental Practice. He is by far the best dentist I have experienced. He had time to explain everything as well as options and prices. Such a difference to the previous one I used, which I felt was more money driven.
