Very average, waiters didnt have much enthusiasm and the food was meh.

A nice pub serving food. Again not too much choice of dark beers. I had the sausage and mash which was lovely, my only complaint it took a while to serve, I was in a hurry maybe next time it will not be a problem. It's frequented by locals who were all friendly, although I could not always understand them.

The manager was really pleasant and fitted us in kindly, even though they seemed to be running with reduced staff. However after waiting over and hour and a half for food, and then when it was brought out it was somehow managed to be both burnt and over cooked, as well as cold. It is such a shame, because this place used to be where we would be happy to bring guests to, and would rave about the food. However now i feel we would be served quicker, and with more palatable food at McDonalds!

Good quality food but very slow service. We only had a main course as we didn't fancy any of the starters. This took over an hour to come, other than the two of us there was only a family of 4 having their pudding. Ordered a second glass of wine which didn't arrive until I went to remind the waitress. At no point in the meal were we asked if everything was ok. Lovely inside dinning area and nice outside area too - would be nice on a warm day.
