        A Tuesday lunchtime...delightful, friendly staff and such good, reasonably priced food!! The chicken and ham pie was sensational, and Eton Mess (pictured) glorious. Also reasonable was the wine list (20 for house red & white), though ros a bit pricey.... Can't recommend this place enough!

        When you are 61 and take your daughter for a quick drink before she returns just before her 3rd year at university and she's asked for her id when I offered to buy her a drink - not such a good first impression. Made me feel like we were being treated like criminals rather than welcome potential customers. Not good customer care, but atmosphere and ambience improved after that unwelcome welcome.

        Little pub nice people but food not fab.. The lamb chops should have been falling off the bone but it was more like pork.. The mash with it was very buttery.. But I know some people like that. Probably won't go back
