Field House

Stayed in Field House Cottage over Easter - it was charming, very welcoming and cosy, and spotless. Can't really fault it. 4 poster bed, wood burning stove, hot tub... wonderful welcome package too. The views are amazing and it's right next to a great Derwentwater walk. It's a short distance from the bus to Keswick, and also the boat that takes you round the lake and gives you access to great walks. Yet at the cottage, you feel like the world has stopped for a little bit - it's very tranquil. You get the best of both worlds. Fell in love with the cottage, the location, and have come home with some amazing memories. Couldn't recommend this enough. The hosts are really helpful and friendly too. I'd go back in a shot!

The best cottages in the borrowdale Valley! Steve and Hazel are the best hosts you will ever meet Hot tub is so relaxing after a beautiful walk up the fells with a glass of wine. So many places to eat and drink but we definitely recommend mizu restaurant at the lodore falls and lyzzick Hall for Sunday dinner but you would need to book to avoid disappointment. A perfect cottage within a wonderful setting This cottage is so well equipped with nothing left out the hot tub is perfect after a days walking 2nd visit this year we experienced snow sun and rain all perfect for sitting in the hot tub We will be back next winter Thanks Hazel and Steve for another wonderful visit xxx
