First time camping here. Reading the other reviews you won't be surprised when you arrive that this is going to be an off grid stay. Half way down the B5289 from Keswick to the campsite the radio and mobile phone reception goes and that is it. If you want mobile reception you need to stay somewhere else. There is a phone box opposite the campsite farm. 60p for 30m. Don't do a reverse charge call like I did - Over 3 for each 30 seconds. Small toilet and washing up facilities but there was never a time when you had to queue. Cold water only (cold water won't kill you!). Getting a shower (8am to 8pm) involved a walk back to the farm but you probably needed a short walk to stretch those tired legs after a long walk, right? Probably the best showers I've had on a campsite like this and a great reward for that short walk. Just don't forget your towel like I did! Quite a large site (there is more than you think) but not the greatest area of flat space. Whilst it is lovely to have the River Derwent behind the site at least in my experience it was very noisy at night (I know, more beer next time). Last but not least a great and helpful campsite owner.

This is a beautiful camping spot in the Borrowdale Valley and a fantastic base for walking. I was really impressed with the yurt, it was well equipped and maintained. Solar power provided lighting as both bright LED strips and fairy lights. There was a BBQ and picnic bench outside each yurt too. It is not hidden that the facilities are fairly basic (i.e. only cold water for washing up) and the showers are a few minutes walk across the road within the Seatoller Farm campsite so I wouldnt put it up there as a high end glamping experience but certainly a step up from a tent! Simon provided all the information we needed and was really helpful in answering any questions. Id very happily recommend a stay here.
