Good car park for going onto nearby fells.

Parking right on the other side of this very tight bridge (will fit 7 seater mini vans/4x4s but only just). Please ensure you are a good driver as you to the bridge requires a lot of careful manoeuvring if driving to park close by. It was 1 for 30 or 2.50 I believe for an hour. Why an hour? Because the bridge is alright but the gem is walking up the road 15 minutes to get to surprise view which is splendid (left a review for there too!). Be careful around the rocks at this bridge but there are many field paths walking off the sides of the road.

Parking a few yards up the road but if coming during the busy season come early as the car park is small. After you have seen the bridge drive a bit further up the lane and you will come to Surprise View a fabulous viewpoint overlooking Derwent Water. Parking on opposite side of the road but again come early.
