Lovely old country pub warm and welcoming with a real fire.

Brilliant. Just arrived for a week in the area and this gem is 5 minutes walk from our cottage. Just what you want from a proper country pub. Cosy fire, good beer, friendly atmosphere and excellent service and good to find someone who actually knows how to pull a proper pint (which appears to be something of a dying art these days)!

Best pub in the world. Great beer and staff, real fire. I'm alergic to dogs so great there is still a place I can go, as too small for dogs, I would have to leave. Please don't change anything, we love you as you are.

If you want a traditional, authentic REAL pub. Then this is the place. What a find! it's a lovely rewarding walk from Staithes. So cozy sitting round the fire, the best thing of all, no TV blasting no music blaring, just a good conversation could be had, and a great attentive service by Paul the landlord. Thank you and we will be back!
