Two of us went for Sunday lunch on the first May bank holiday weekend. Both had the roast beef. We had a late lunch (2pm) and I was slightly worried the food might be limited or the dregs. Could not have been more wrong. The roast was the best weve ever had out. The beef (2 huge slices) was really flavourful and so tender and there was a good assortment of vegetables. A huge Yorkshire pudding and properly crunchy roast potatoes, which are a rarity when eating out, were all served with a good gravy and an extra pot of gravy. Friendly service and a lovely cosy interior. Will definitely go back!! Thanks.

overpriced drinks and closes when the management feel like it. At least you'll get an early night though!

Food was absolutely lovely. VERY slow service, restaurant was cold, empty and an unusual welcome. I wouldnt rush back.

The Crown is a great country pub, with parking immediately opposite, open fires, a nice pint of Harvey's, fantastic menu and friendly staff.
