Miller Hill Cottage

Just back from a 5 day stay at Miller Hill cottage with my wife and 3 dogs . Great location for exploring the western side of the lakes. Nice and cozy and well equipped. Great little welcome surprises /treats which we enjoyed. Beach less than 10 minute walk away. There is a great coastal walk too. Need to take my golf clubs next time. Great walks around Dalegarth along the river. Ennerdale lake worth a visit too,had lunch in fox and hounds in Ennerdale village, fantastic food but beware of the steak and ale pie it is massive Thanks Carole

Just back from a lovely stay at Miller Hill Cottage (me, my hubby and 3 dogs). The cottage is fantastic enjoying beautiful countryside views, plenty of outdoor space and tables and chairs to enjoy the experience - unfortunately due to the time of year we did not spend much time outside and instead enjoyed some quiet evenings (after walk filled days) in front of a cosy fire. The cottage is very well decorated and stocked with everything that you could need including some very kind welcome gifts for humans and our four legged babies! I would definitely recommend this to anyone else looking for a base to explore the lakes. Excellent communication from the owner throughout the booking process and we will definitely be returning in the future (hopefully in the summer to enjoy the outside space on an evening)

What can I say that hasn't already been said? Miller Hill Cottage was the perfect place to get away from it all. The cottage is beautiful, comfortable, cozy and extremely well equipped. The log burner (once I got the hang of it with a little help from the hosts) was the icing on my cake! The area is so peaceful and has everything you could need for a solo escape and recharge. I would highly recommend a stay and will certainly be going back one day! Thanks for making me feel so welcome Carole and John.

This was one of our favourite places we've ever stayed. The cottage was so cosy and comfortable even with a storm raging outside! There were so many thoughtful details scattered about the cottage and it had absolutely everything we needed. Carole was the best host and really made us and our dog Holly feel welcome. She was helpful and responsive throughout. I would happily stay here again and explore more of the beautiful area!
