I reported to the environmental health department in October 2021, concerning mamy issues with regards to a previous, private rented property, i lived in. In which was in a poor standard of repair, I sent them photos and footage of the state of poor substandard living conditions, concerning mould, continuous blocked drains, exposed electrical wires, poor sealed windows the list goes on. I had bad health living in the property which had been reported to my Dr however, I was assured that someone would do an inspection on this property, which never happened. I didn't even receive a curtesy letter or email from them, stating we will take this case on. I'm very dissapointed with this department, as I thought they were there to protect vulnerable tenants Under the Housing Act which is a legislation to protect people, from scrupulous landlords that are renting substandard properties to people! How can this department regulate the abhorrent activities landlords carry on getting away with, with regards, to not maintaining properties that are not fit for human living standards! I ended up having to go to a disrepair solicitor to take action. However, luckily for me I was offered a housing association property so I didn't have the added stress, anxiety from something that wasn't my fault. I'm very disappointed, that the Environmental health in Bolton are too weak to perform a protection order fir tenants, from scrupulous landlords!!

I reported fly tipping behind my house Monday evening. Pleased to say this was removed by Tuesday lunchtime. This was the second occasion i have made a report and both times was very pleased with the prompt and efficient response. Excellent service. Thank you.
