Timeless Chesterfields

I searched globally for a Chesterfield furniture maker. Living in Australia meant that I started with Australian furniture makers, then expanded my search to UK and USA. There are also useful articles online that highlighted features to choose (and pitfalls to avoid). From my research, I put together a wish list, including: a) a real timber frame (not MDF or other composite wood); b) individual tacks (not blocks of 5 tacks joined together); and c) the type of leather (especially, not small patches sewn together). I decided to select full aniline leather. I want a particular shade of green that was not available in standard aniline offering however, the sales manager from Timeless Chesterfield provided me with additional Italian leathers options and I was able to find just the right shade. Following my research and communication with Timeless Chesterfield, I felt confident enough to buy my first pieces of furniture online. I selected a 3-seater sofa bed and two scroll chairs. Given that my leather was bespoke, this was my one-and-only chance, so I needed everything to be right. The furniture arrived securely packed in bubble plastic, cardboard shipping cartons and surrounded by wooden crating. Everything was safely packed. The quality was faultless. Everything was as good as I could imagine. I am so pleased with the quality of the furniture. I'm sure the craftspeople who made my furniture were proud when they finished it, but they will never be quite as happy as me. I wanted to make this purchase my last lounge set, and I feel confident that it will become items of pride in my family for generations to come.
