Its really bad when ringing the doctors is is like ringing a call centre. You listen to a mantra of your call is important to us, please stay on the line and your call will be answered in the order it was received only to wait 10/15 minutes and then when you eventually do get through, youre then placed on hold for another 10/15 minutes.

We moved to this practice a few months ago after our old Drs was really going downhill after merging with about four other practices. we are in or mid to late 70's, with a few ongoing problems, me with diabetes, which luckily doesnt give me any problems, but the osteo arthritis is a different story! that can stop me in my tracks when it gets bad, but my other half, he has dementia, COPD. and also bad pain in his leg as he had a plate put in years ago,, anyway when all the problems with covid started we lost most of the regular Drs, and the dr who we used to see retired, and trying to get an appointment even on the telephone was a non starter, and i was worried that if "him indoors" had a bad breathing attack i wouldnt be able to get in touch with anyone, so i decided to ask around like many other people from there and find another Drs who we could trust.. Luckily a few of my friends told me about "the Oaks" and thank god they did. this Drs has done more for us in the few months we've been here than our old Drs did in a few years,, and everybody has been so nice from the Drs, nurses, and the receptionists... because as you get older you just need the reassurance of knowing there is someone who will be there for you, even if its only for advice on the end of a phone, I know there are times when you have to call back because they are busy, but this happens everywhere, because its obvious other people need a Dr as well.. so I want to say THANKYOU, your very much appreciated Mrs V Boardman
