Richard & Lewis built a large two story extension for me and undertook a full-house refurbishment including plumbing, re-wire, moving walls, plastering and external works. Richard is approachable, easy to deal with, speaks common sense and is able to manage all aspects of the project. He brings the best trades to support the job (the people you don't find easily as they are so good they are booked up - plasterers, electrician, plumbers, joiners, decorators, tilers and more!). Richard managed all these trades and the overall job to the highest standards. I had lots of specific requirements on layout, materials and electrical (including an advanced home automation system) that he not only understood but was enthusiastic about being involved in! I have no hesitation in recommending Richard, our work with him is now continuing into the garden for ground works and terrace building work / retaining walls. Quite simply I wouldn't use anyone else.

Richard is a top class builder. He opened up all our downstairs and did a fantastic job for us! Very reliable, hardworking and honest. A great guy too.

Richard and Lewis built our extension in Harwood. From day one they were timely, efficient, friendly and just lovely people to have around. Nothing was ever too much trouble. As always happens with big projects there were issues uncovered along the way and Richard went above and beyond to rectify these so he could continue with the build. If youre looking for an honest, reliable builder these guys are your men!

This is the second time Richard has done building work for me. The first time he built an extension onto the back of what was a new build house. The quality of the brick laying put the rest of the house to shame. This time Richard has done some structural work for me, taking out a load bearing wall and fitting the supporting steel. The quality and attention to detail Richard puts into his work is what stands out. That is the reason I would only use him for any work I need and highly recommend Tonge Builders.
