Andy Lees Ceramics - Pottery Courses and Workshops

Absolutely fabulous. I took my 6 year old as he has shown an obsessive interest in pottery. Our instructor, Andy, was brilliantly patient and understanding with my son who just wanted to get stuck in. He was informative, allowing my son to learn the basics and suggesting how I should move forward in supporting him with his interest. Andy was both supportive and understanding when my son struggled to manage the environmental changes and his emotions when it was time to go. I hope to take him for lessons again once he has had a little bit of practice on his home wheel.

Having just completed the six week beginners course I would highly recommend it to anyone wanting to have a go at the craft of pottery. Right from the beginning we were given the opportunity to use the potters wheel (it's harder than it looks!!!). Andy broke down the stages of using the wheel really well and gave you lots of time to build your skills, as a good teacher should, intervening when help was needed. It was a small group and we had a laugh at our mistakes but were proud of our triumphs. Looking forward to taking it further .

Had a great taster session followed by a series of lessons. Really nervous as wanted to do this but Im not very creative. Andy is a great teacher and very patient! Thank you Andy for my new hobby and hope to see you soon.

I did the taster beginners pottery course with Andy and I can honestly say it was fantastic. Andy is very friendly and knowledgeable. The course is fun and gives you a great insight into the world of pottery that I can't wait to continue. Throuroughly enjoyed the whole experience thank you Andy!

What an absolutely great day. We were a family of six attending a two hour taster session and can honestly say we all enjoyed it very much. Andy was very patient and explained every step clearly. We were all very proud of our creations. Loved seeing him work too. He made it look so easy. What a talent. Thank you Andy.
