Cake Box

We ordered a cake for our sons first birthday at Cale Box Bolton. The staff were very friendly and also were patient to guide us and provide recommendations. We got a photo printed on the cake and the additional charge was half the price of services which sell photo cake toppers. All in all liked the cake and service. Yes, the cake is more expensive than what we get in a supermarket but again it doesnt taste like a regular supermarket cake so we were happy to spend a little extra.

Went to pick up my cake. They're fabulous cakes, this is the third one I've ordered from them. But I give them a rating of 3/5. Customer service on this third trip wasn't great. The assistant tipped my cake to put in the bag. It was only when I stepped out of the shop I noticed some of the cream and fruit has fallen off the top of the cake so I went straight back inside to ask if it's possible to touch it back up. The manageress blamed me for tipping the cake, and that I shouldn't have asked for a bag and not to hold by handle and that bags are no good for the big cakes, I told her I didn't ask for a bag it was offered by her assistant and that I held the bag with one hand while the other was underneath the box and it was her assistant that tipped the cake as she bagged it . Another regular customer spoke up and said I was right as she watched the whole thing while waiting for her cake. The manageress was abit reluctant to fix the cake but she did it anyway. Not great for business if she continues to speak down to customers like this, I've worked in retail and hospitality for over 20 years, customer service goes a long way, I will not return

I ordered some graduation fairy cakes from here via there website, it was only a week before I needed them and they managed to make them for me. I actually drove down from Liverpool to collect them. Staff were amazing, so lovely and kind, and cakes were beautiful too. I will definitely be ordering again from here as it's my children's 30th soon so I'm excited to order their cakes. Thankyou so much xxx
