Well how dissappointing!! This was a Christmas present for my mum. Was expecting brilliant things from this place given the reviews, sadly not the case. Mum's just come back, her experience: She walked in and was greeted by the therapist who was wearing sweatpants and top (no uniform), might be fine for some but generally paying this kind of money you'd expect a bit more professionalism than someone in their chill-out gear. Was led upstairs to a room, told to wait in the room while she went out and got a few things, she wasn't really sure where to put herself, mum asked should she take off her layers when she came back, was told she can do what she likes. She has quite short hair so maybe a disposable headband would have been a good idea? She had a very musty smelling hot towel placed over her face, said it smelled bad, but the towel was not replaced. Was never asked at any point if the temperature was OK. During the intervals where face masks were placed therapist just sat there in the room waiting for them to set, not doing any further actions as you'd usually expect during a facial (we've had many in different places). The relaxing, thoughtful, good-feeling vibe you expect to get from a treatment wasn't there, clearly it sounded very opposite. The same smelling towel she believes was used throughout. Her skin looks hardly any different from before but the general take-away was a lack of experience and expertise, and it showed. The therapist was 'nice' which is why I gave 2 stars. I deliberately booked here as it was specifically a facial care clinic rather than somewhere doing a bit of everything because I wanted to find someone who was top in their game. I also booked the appointment originally to be with Emma, however it was rescheduled (due to our fault), but then my mum was placed with a totally different therapist as a result. This was my main present to her this Christmas, upset.
