Bolsover Balti Takeaway

Previously have had good takeaways from Bolsover Balti - However, tonights was a different experience. Tandoori butter chicken was bland to say the least. Tandoori mixed grill not as described on menu. Lamb was very tough, chicken was dry. Can only think it has changed hands or chef. Not sure I will be ordering from there again.

I have tried this place once befor, 12 months ago, and was very pleased with the food, but after yesterdays effort i won't be trying again, I don't know if ownership, or kitchen staff have changed but the food certainly has! I ordered the same as last time, Tandoori Mixed Grill,on the menu as, "1pc Meat Samosa 1pc Sheekh Kebab, 1pc Onion Bhaji, 1pc Chicken Tikka & 1pc Meat Tikka (served with side salad)with a Bhindi Bhaji side, when I went to collect I was told, "just waiting for you're mixed grill to come off" 5 mins later I picked up the bag and went away. The packaging was very good, but then the experience went downhill. The side salad was 90% dry cabbage, a shred of lettuce, 2 slices of dry red onion and a slice of cucumber. Zero presence of Meat Samosa, the Seekh Kebab reasonably moist but quite bland, Zero presence of Onion Bhaji, over cooked Tikka Chiken leg, Zero meat Tikka, and 2x Tikka chicken wings, and 2 x dry and tough Tikka Lamb? chops, all covered in the same "Over Coloured marinade" that I am still trying to get the colour out of my fingers as it was too dry for a knife and fork. There was no mention of changes to the dish components on collection. PS the Bhindi Bhaji was the best part and was obviously freshly cooked as the Okra was still a little "Al Dente"

Absolutely amazing.. possibly the best takeaway we have had. The food is good quality and tasty. Very quick delivery.
