Went for a spa day. Our initial welcome by a young lady didnt feel particularly welcoming but later when someone else in our party arrived, a young man made up for it showing us around. Facilities are nice. Surrounding grounds are beautiful. But very very slippery in places which I think should be addressed because even being careful it is difficult to keep a steady footing. Small lunch menu but chef was accommodating to our dietary needs. Overall, good value for money and a nice day out.

Unfortunately the rooms are quite tired looking. The pillows were shocking, flat and in need of replacing. We were disappointed to be told the restaurant was full, however there were only 10 tables filled. The food was not great and very slow to get drinks delivered. When the wine did arrive it was room temperature as they had not filled the fridge. Overall though had a relaxing time as we were in good company.

Its a 4 star review from me instead of a 5. Had the reception been more engaging , like the y didnt even seem to want to be there. Having said that, we were very pleased with the 2 bed apartment allocated to our party of 4 adults. 2 good sized comfortable bedrooms, a separate spacious lounge over looking the back lawn and garden. It had spacious kitchen/dining room suitable to our needs. This also has a lift , for a 2 story period building.
