        At the end of a narrow rural road (be careful, some drivers don't care that you should CAUTIOUSLY drive down this road - which has blind corners), Sandy Lane Farm is a fun place to take the family for a few hours for some crop picking (in early October it is mostly Pumpkins). One major benefit of this farm (at least for Pumpkins) is NO need to book - unsurprising as the field is full of Pumpkins of all shapes & colours ! Parking spaces are plentiful too - although during wetter weather, be careful as there will be a lot of mud around ! As well as crop picking, a minature railway operates, kids face painting is sometimes available, & there is a small kids play area. The Hayloft is the site cafe, with friendly staff, nice food & drink ... but it is a little pricey (3.00+ for a Tea).
