I joined Joannas Monday class several years ago on the advice of my sister after suffering from a frozen flaxium nerve which incapacitated me for several days. It was the best thing I could have done. That hour on a Monday morning is so relaxing and yet energising. Joanna is a calm empathic tutor who sets the right pace for us and also gives alternatives to allow us to personalise our routine. Plus she was brilliant through the lockdowns providing a series of videos for us to do at home. Well done and thankyou Joanna .

I have been a regular attender at Gently Fit for 3 years now. The classes are fun and varied, and I am enjoying improved levels of fitness and suppleness. Joanna is an excellent teacher who explains each movement, stretch and posture, step by step, describing the muscles involved and how they positively effect the body in a clear and simple way. The hour long sessions are holistic and fun, and Joanna always manages to put a smile on our faces, as we lose ourselves in the class. Using a combination of gentle aerobics warm-up moves, weights to improve muscle tone and stamina and stretches to limber us up, the whole class is well balanced and uplifting. The relaxation period at the end of the class ensures you leave the session feeling relaxed in body, mind and soul. Each stretch and movement forms part of a carefully constructed work-out, all set to some great tunes from the 60s onwards. Every area of the body is exercised and worked on, and the class is designed to accommodate all levels of fitness and stamina. Joanna is very skilled insuring that everyone reaches their potential, while recognising that we all work at different paces a different. She teaches us to recognise how our body is feeling at the session and to work with that accordiny and safely. I would not hesitate to recommend Gently Fit to anyone who is determined to improve their holistic sense of well-being.

Joanna is a fantastic teacher and her Pilates class is, for me, a complete and perfect time to enjoy some "me" time on a Monday morning ! There's never any pressure and her caring and gentle way is so nice. Not being that young! I do find the Pure Pilates is just right for my level of keeping fit. Thank you Joanna.

I have been doing Pilates with Joanna for nearly 2 years and look forward to my hour every week. Joanna is an excellent teacher explaining and demonstrating each exercise thoroughly for beginners through to advanced so you chose your own level. The weights at the start of the class are a great way to warm up and build up strength. I love the music too.
