Where to start? OK, The Avisford Medical Group based at Middleton on Sea has been my GP for several years now. I have to admit that I have not always made things easy for them and I have had more medical problems over the last several years than most people experience in a life time. The point being, is that no matter what has been thrown at them, whether receptionist or doctor, they have always treated me respectfully and offered a level of care that far surpasses anything i have previously experienced. I too, at first was baffled that I could not physically see my GP during the current pandemic and thought they we selfishly demonstrating self preservation, however, having thought hard and long about it, I knew and still believe, that I was basing that assumption on my own flawed opinion rather than on any factual information. I may well be way off target, but I reckon that as the first port of call and the hub of community medicine that the GP service had to restrict the number of face to face consultations to the most serious cases, so as to protect this vital service, ensuring it survival, enabling it to continue serving the local communities during these unprecedented times, even if doing so meant altering some aspects of what they normally offer, such as patient consultations. It just takes a bit of getting used to on our part. As I said, I may be way off target and apologies if I am wrong, but I suspect that my opinion, if correct , is still just a tiny bit of the whole picture, eitherwy, I highly rate and respect Avisford Medical Group and am very happy with them.

Took some time to get through in the morning, but once I got through the receptionist was very helpful and polite, gave a brief outline of my issue and she quickly decided it would be worth having a phone call with the duty doctor, he phoned an hour later and decided it was best for me to come in and an hour later I was in the surgery and all sorted, brilliant service. Thank you.
