I have always found the receptionists, both at the surgery and on the phone, polite, friendly and helpful. If I have to wait, I realise there are other people in the queue wanting to speak to them.

We are all mindful of how much pressure our local doctors surgerys seem to be under. And in fact we are now encouraged to look for alternative solutions or online consultations before troubling a GP. So when you do get offered a face to face consultation there can be an added anxiety for the patient, as the last thing you want to do is waste anyones time. My experience today at Grove House Surgery with Dr Perkins was nothing short of exceptional. From the moment I entered the consultation room, Dr Perkins professional but relaxed approach was to devote his full attention and time to ensure he fully understood my concerns. His final opinion was delivered in a thoughtful and considered manner and it was clear to me that he had a genuine interest in my future good health. Hopefully I will not see too much of him in the future - but any patient who does is in good hands.
