Glad this branch in Bognor hasn't shut yet, as me getting into Chichester, which is the next nearest Barclays can be a nightmare re traffic & parking. I can usually manage myself to use the inside "hole in the wall" to do my business, including paying various bills from my account or in cash (but I do already have a lot of payees set up to be able to do this in branch). If on the odd occasion I need help, there's usually 1 member of staff on the "shop floor" to assist, obviously if they're already busy I just stand & literally hold my hand up whilst at the inside hole in the wall & attempt to catch their attention when they're free. The actual manned desk, of which there only ever seems to be 1 open each time I've visited recently, is only open until 2.30pm so if u need a "real person" at a desk be aware of the shut time & prepare to wait as there's usually a small queue. If you need more assistance (eg someone has passed or a large bill to be paid, the hole in the wall only does up to 2K a day for individuals, you'll need to be patient & advise someone you need help & what with, sometimes you can sit & wait & other times you'll need to book, waiting can be ages & booking an appointment can also be a few weeks wait). I do not bank online with Barclays, I've heard so many people come in branch for help because their app has frozen/glitched/not done as it's told that it's put me off & at age 54 I don't want the stress. I haven't been into Barclays for 1 month & I notice today there's no longer any see through dividers between the 3 hole in the wall, nor sanitizer, but the main door was open. Have banked with Barclays since age 16. Mostly been ok.
