Cannot award zero stars, so One will have to do. What can I say, after being a regular visitor since May 1998, my last visit on February 11th 2023, was to be my Final. Extremely disappointed with the attitude of atleast 3 members of (Voluntary) staff, after they proceeded to shout at myself and my Father for apparently sitting in the wrong coach. At No point was it made clear, that the compartments were an extra charge of approximately 85. We had sat in Compos on many occasions since our to return to the B&W after the Pandemic. And had never had an issue. What's most upsetting is that a complaint has been made, but Nothing has been done about it. After this incident, my Father and I will No Longer be members of the Preservation Society ( I had my renewal in my pocket that day) & the rather expensive purchase of the 00 Gauge Class 50 number 50042 Triumph, which was in the gift shop, remained there. Also the donation of Magazines & Railwayana which I had in the car, went to tip on our journey home. If you can avoid the Bodmin & Wenford, then I suggest that you do. There are other more friendly Preserved Railways in the UK, that are way more welcoming.

I give this 1 star as I can't do zero. However, I notice the stars are dropping. This may go some way to explaining why? I was, along with my son, a member, but cancelled after an officious volunteer decided to come aboard the train I was riding on, with my son, and started shouting at both me , and my son, for sitting in the wrong carriage. Loss of my renewal and the money that I intended to spend on a new Hornby 50 series OO engine from the shop is the result. A complaint was made and ignored. Never again!!

The railwaysystem is NOT wheelchair accesible. There is a seperate cart in the train for wheelchair users but the experience is significantly less good. The cart has less windows and these are not placed at the sitting areas. The cart is also used as a stacking place and is therefor filled with garbage and other stuff. It does not feel nice to be put next to the trash. When this was adressed, some volunteers were insulted in such a way that they felt it okay to argue with us. We all felt uncomfortable and we will not return.
