We had a wonderful holiday staying in Chapel Barn, its just the loveliest place and there are so many amazing places to visit. Its so pretty, very well kitted out and immaculately clean, we were very comfy there as our base for showing our granddaughters the sights of Cornwall in August. It was our third stay at Chaple Barn. Having been for a week in April 2020, we booked again for August 2020 but Covid put paid to that plan so we went in August 2021, and again this August 22, bringing our granddaughters. The cottage has everything you need for a really comfortable stay. Its set along the camel trail amongst beautiful walks in every direction. Our hosts Laura and Dave couldnt be more helpful, nothing is too much trouble if you need anything. We can highly recommend a stay in Chaple Barn, in either the quieter months or the busy months. If you are there in April, the number and variety of rhododendrons at Lanhydrock House (National Trust) nearby is absolutely breathtaking; it took most of the day to see them all. Finally, its a good idea to book some things ahead if you have children with you for things like the Camel Creak theme park or the steam train trips.

What a fabulous week we have had staying at Chapel Barn, Dunsmere. Our Hosts Laura and Dave went above and beyond with their hospitality. A scrumptious Cornish Tea was waiting for us on arrival. The accommodation was just perfect, so comfortable and cosy, with a wood burner and plenty of logs should we have needed it. The position is just wonderful, half an hour drive from almost anywhere, with lovely walks close to hand too, with a view of the river out of the kitchen window. Will definitely be visiting again.

In terms of the holiday lets in Cornwall you really cant do much better than Chapel Barn in Bodmin. Dave and Laura are wonderful hosts and will do whatever they can to make your holiday stay as good as possible. You will kick off your holiday in style with a beautiful cream tea supplied by them. Chapel Barn is decorated to an beautiful standard. Downstairs is up and up is down in this gorgeous barn. Amenities include a private little courtyard for an evening drink in the summer sun and just opposite are steps leading down to a beautiful and exclusive garden area and picnic benches by a babbling river. There is also access to a barbecue and a fire pit. Its a stunning location. Bodmin is going through a period of regeneration. And on top of that its only half an hour away from many locations key to Cornwall like Padstow, Looe and Polperro. We have been here three times now including our honeymoon. And we will be back.
