Excellent hospital, I was awaiting mri's & an x-ray at Treliske was told it was a 20 week wait, managed to get in to Bodmin, on time, very friendly, completed all my scans quickly and efficiently. Great parking and signage at the hospital.

Due to terrible headache and suspected BP up rushed myself even though I know it's not related to what I'm feeling that moment that they specialise with. From the reception on duty, Pat or Pam that took my BP and the nurse Hannah, thank you for accommodating me. Thank you, Hannah, for all the help God bless you all

My mother was admitted as a emergency and the only bed available was Bodmin (we both live in Penzance). It was certainly worth the travelling. lovely hospital, clean and bright, nurses were superb. food was ok (my mother is extremely fussy). Thank you.

I went to Bodmin Mental Health for help with Mental Health issues, I can say I have never received such poor and insensitive help with very intimate and sensitive information. Not only being let down by the Mental Health Professionals but also PALS. After 3 1/2 years of investigation by The Parliamentary Ombudsman who eventually found in my favour. My personal information was given out with out my concent and I complained to PALS and they gave out completely wrong advise and told me I should seek a solicitor advise, this was deemed as wrong. So I complained to Parliamentary Health Ombudsman and Bodmin Trust supplied a different persons information to the Ombudsman and just as the case was to be finalised and closed it was noticed it was the wrong information it had not been checked against date of birth, address, post code, National Insurance number, phone number, date of appointment, or even the complaint reference given by the Trust. It was about 2 years into the review of my case that Ms Slovin some kind of legal professional I think in charge of the PALS department, was assigned to the case and visited me at home to explain how the mistake occurred with out all the correct information. Ms Slovin then proceeded to make my life a misery. Ms Slovin did not phone when agreed didn't stick to the topic of discussion as agreed I agreed to do all this on the advice of the Ombudsman and every time I told the Ombudsman she had a excuse for Ms Slovin. Not only had the Trust allowed my personal data to be shared with out my concent, they then supplied some one with the same name as me. Under the Freedom of information act I found out that this had only happened once in 5 years, so that would be me. My name was different at the time and according to a directory 15 David Gibsons lived in Cornwall and the Trust said 5 had attended Bodmin Mental Health at the same time. As far as I am concerned if the number of Gibsons was 50 how could it be that 10% turn up at one Mental Health Trust at the same time, not all Gibsons would be needing Mental health treatment. I had said to the Ombudsman I did not believe what the Trust was saying but the Ombudsman assured me she had seen proof this turned out to be false she had only accepted what the Trust had told her. 3 1/2 years of investigation and because the Trust had said that they were going to reform the way they gave information out this was all OK why if only once in 5 years would you need to change the system and in fact over the same period of time this happened 7 times in the whole of the NHS. Bodmin Mental Health and the Trust have made the whole experience absolutely misery Ms Slovin played a large part in this showing no compassion and very little respect for the situation. As far as I concerned using the system that is in place is a total waste of time and has done nothing for my mental health and trust in Ms Slovin and the Trust a waste of 3 1/2.
