JEFF LINDBECK EXPERT TILING

This so called 'expert' tiled our hallway kitchen and bathroom in 2017. We had already purchased the tiles and asked him to do the hallway and if there was enough tiles to also do the kitchen. He then proceeded to place all the full tiles in the hallway AND kitchen and then contacted me to tell me there wasn't enough tiles! We had a hell of a job finding more of the same tiles but eventually he was able to complete the job. Less than a year later we had cracked tiles and grout and this despite Jeff using a special membrane to allow for some movement in the sub-floor. He came back and did some remedial work but a few months later it was still occurring. I have tried several times to get this man to respond to my complaint and after some contact he has since chosen to ignore me. We had another tiling firm check the work and the reason we have tiles cracking is because we have what is called a FLOATING FLOOR! This means that it is concrete with polystyrene blocks resting on it with chipboard on top. The boards are just resting on polystyrene so any decent tradesman would advise this is NOT SUITABLE TO BE TILED! How ridiculous that the second firm identified the type of sub-floor we had in the space of ten minutes while Jeff was still scratching his head after months of problems. In one of his responses he claimed to have followed the manufacturers instructions on the crack resistant membrane but he has not as it clearly states boards to be tiled must be of tongue and groove design, bonded in the grooves, impregnated against moisture absorption and SECURED USING SCREWS which they are not. AVOID THIS AMATEUR AT ALL COSTS

We hired Jeff Lindbeck Expert Tiling for our downstairs shower room floor and shower cubicle. He gave us a very reasonable quote and arrived on time and worked very hard. He advised us on the best options and looks throughout. When finished Jeff left the room very clean and tidy. We would highly recommend Jeff to others and look forward to him undertaking work for us in the future.
