Hi, I used this service to a taxi to Newcastle, there were many issues. 1. The taxi turned up and didnt have the right amount of seats despite me clarifying this on booking. The operator claimed it was my fault. 2. The taxi driver took us a longer route than required because he knew we werent local, when we challenged he claimed The roads were closed even though this wasnt the case. 3. We were charged 70 even though the journey was 60.

Phoenix taxis - AVOID I have been a very frequent and regular user of taxis to and from airports for around 13 years due to my business. Having recently moved I decided to try this company. This is by far the worst service I have ever encountered. I had booked an airport pick-up via email two days before my flight back to Newcastle and received an email while I was in flight, saying that the taxi was booked and confirmed. While I was waiting to leave the plane, I was telephoned by their office and told to pay for the taxi, and when I explained I was about to leave the plane I was told to call back when I got to the luggage belt and pay then. This I did and I then received about three texts saying the taxi was on the way. 40 minutes later I called the office again as there was no sign of the car. I was told the car was still 10 minutes away. 20 minutes later still no sign of the taxi, and this time I am told it is 5 minutes away. I was not given any option apart from just continuing to wait. The taxi eventually arrived 1.5 hours after I had arrived and more than 1 hour after my first phone call and payment. Not acceptable after a very long flight and clearly the taxi had not been booked and confirmed until I paid at the luggage belt. In fact, the driver told me when he arrived that he had only been asked to pick me up 15 minutes before he arrived. I tried to complain to a manager: the first time I called I was told the manager was on a break and would call me back. No call. The next day I called and I was given the same message and there was again no call back. Eventually, I received a cursory email that didnt accept responsibility for the lateness but implied that it was my fault as there had clearly been a mix up in understanding how long it takes to collect luggage. The email also suggested that I could have just got another taxi then asked for a refund (something I was not offered and something that their company policy says is not an option less than 24 hours after a booking and once a taxi has been dispatched!) I replied to this email and tried escalate to the company MD, but I did not even receive an acknowledgement. In addition to the poor service, the customer service and care is also the worst I have ever encountered. I will never use them again and STRONGLY recommend that anyone wanting an airport pick up does not use them. In fact the taxi firm at the airport is not only going to be more reliable, it is also cheaper!
