I was surprised to see the poor reviews on here. Darren installed a large driveway for three cars for me just under 4 years ago. Concrete below then paving slabs with built in drainage. Its still in fab condition, no sunk in areas or dips anywhere and people always comment how good it looks and what a good job it was. Would definitely use Tyne & Wear paving if I ever wanted a new drive again! Service: Driveway installation

Too busy to answer calls, never keeps to appointments missed 2 appointments in a row never bothers to inform if he is not coming. Just avoid just waste of time.

The surface of the concrete laid is uneven and unattractive as there is a patchwork of finishes. Many splashes of concrete were left on walls, access path and manhole cover. Rubbish left behind included drinks bottles and empty bags of cement. When I complained I was told that I couldn't complain because I had paid, that I must not like concrete after all, that I had asked for this finish. A tradesman who I asked for a quote to repair or replace it say they wouldn't even leave a hard standing in this state - let alone someone's yard/patio. I have been told that the large lumps of concrete spattered across the surface constitute a trip hazard and could do someone a serious injury if they fell onto it. Some of the peaks are sharp so I believe them. I gave the owner the benefit of the doubt and asked him to meet me on the patio so we could look at the problems together and he refused so I will be claiming a refund via the small claims court. Having noticed his reaction to other negative comments on various sites, he is likely to add something unpleasant to this review but it is important you know what could happen if you hire this company.
