The Oaks Care Home

The Oaks care home is situated in Blyth Durban street Northumberland.It is a EMI Dementia nursing home, lovely trained and caring staff that gives their best to make all residents that lives in the home comfortable and safe at all times.The chefs also ensure that all meals prepared are nutritious and delicious of which our residents enjoys daily.The manager of the home can be approached at anytime for there is a open door policy.

I began working here on a voluntary basis in 1998 prior to commencing my midwife training. However I loved the experience so much I never left. So here I am almost 24 years later and still getting so much job satisfaction. I am lucky enough to work with the best people who all ensure that our lovely residents are well provided for and looked after. I couldn't imagine working anywhere else.

I've worked in the home since 2009, I've enjoyed all my positions since joining especially enjoying the kitchen. I have always found the manager to be approachable on both a personal and a professional manner. I am looking forward to my future years here but especially my retirement.

I've worked at the oaks since 2010 the staff are amazing at all they do the residents are loved and so well looked after. The manager I have always found to be approachable and have always ensured an open door approach. I look forward to spending many more years working here.

The Oaks have one of the best manager's I've had the pleasure of working with, Jo is dedicated hard working showing just as much care and compassion to her staff as she does to her much loved residents, she is an absolute diamond who doesn't actually know how valued she is
