MLP completed our extension in late 2017. Over 5 years on Building Control are STILL unable to sign-off the work due a number of latent defects including significant deflection around a 4.7m skylight, ponding of water on the roof, and a first floor bay window that is not properly supported. It is disappointing that MLP has made no effort to rectify any of these issues since being alerted to them in May 2021. And now we find that the Structural Engineer they used wasn't actually a registered Structural Engineer at all; they've gone into voluntary liquidation, and it'll cost us in the region of 30k to put right their mistakes. Suspect we won't be the only ones in this position. The matter is now in the hands of our lawyer.

After researching building companies I decided to pick three companies to meet up with. It did not take me long to realise MLP were the right choice for us. They were the only company who offered to take me to existing projects allowing me to see their workmanship and speak to their customers, they also put forward ideas that would benefit both the exterior look and layout of the interior space. From the start of the build through to the finished job MLP made the whole process as easy as possible communicating with us on a daily basis. And WOW! - our finished extension is stunning we are absolutely delighted, we would not hesitate in recommending MLP to anyone.

We wanted a modern contemporary style extension and found MLP through a google search. From the very beginning they were excellent suggesting alternative designs and materials to our original drawings.We went with their ideas and we are so glad as we ended up with a much better space. They were very professional from start to finish and their craftsmen were superb even gaining compliments from our local authority planners. We were so pleased we decided to go for zinc cladding it makes the perfect finish. The end result is a living space we just love.
