My wife and I booked a week at The Bloomsbury as we traveled to London to visit our granddaughter.I wanted to book a more traditional British Hotel vs, a chain type. The Bloomsbury fit the bill perfectly. The room was very nice and the bed was everything a traveler could ask for in terms of comfortability. The hotel itself has a beautiful dining area, where we had high tea and dinner with our granddaughter. The food was delicious by the way. The bar was also extremely nice and we enjoyed a cocktail or two in the evenings. The location is ideal, close to the British museum,Chinatown,Soho,theaters,subway,etc...and also very close to where our granddaughter was studying. The one thing that took our experience over the top was the service. All aspects were great and everyone was so friendly and helpful.I do want to call out three individuals that were exceptional.....Maria ,the greeter at breakfast was so nice , friendly and efficient ,Daisy, our waitress in the lounge was exceptionally nice, friendly and helpful and Ivan the assistant concierge bent over backwards to help in anyway. The service was exceptional and I would highly recommend The Bloomsbury as a wonderful place to stay while in London. BTW,I am retired but have traveled the world while working and I have stayed in many delightful hotels...This ranks with the best of them.Roger and Charlane Ellis

The venue was okay but the food service was horrible. They mixed up veg & non-veg menus and served us only aubergine rice. Food & drinks: The venue was okay but the food service was horrible.

I had an amazing stay here celebrating our 10th wedding anniversary. We bought a theatre package for Dirty Dancing as it was at the Dominion Theatre, which has its stage door opposite the hotel entrance, so couldnt be more convenient. Ive stayed in many 5* hotels before but the staff here were particularly friendly and helpful, especially Aurora in reservations and Marcella at reception, who made our stay extra special. The Coral Room was a destination in itself, with great cocktails and Champagne selection. Even though we were on a low floor there was no noise despite being in the middle of Central London. The bed was so comfy I didnt want to get up in the morning! Breakfast was generous with an a la carte selection and buffet. I would definitely stay here again.
