They did investigate the case but I found it interesting that they took the defendant caseworker's word over our own despite pointing out that the defendant was in breach of not keeping a record of the interactions between themselves and their client. I found it interesting that they weren't interested in a case worker working under two names. As a client, I should be certain from whom I taking advice from, if not then whose name do I put on the court papers if I am not happy with the service provided? Vetting is one of the roles of the OISC - it seems errors have been made. Remember they are the immigration agency's regulator and not a public watchdog. However, you have to go through them before you can sort things out elsewhere - should you decide that is what you want to do. :) A large part of the case was the matter of what was recorded. The company stipulated prior to the case before OISC that they recorded everything, upon a request for such information from OISC they then stated that their computer system could not do this, however in a recent review on TrustPilot they again confirmed that every conversation is recorded. So much for a thorough investigation by OISC. Maybe they were just biased against me. Doesn't seem like a thorough investigation was carried out. :( It seems that I will have to take the matter further.

The OSIC needs to ADVERTISE it's services and it's presence. As an Immigration Advisor customer who was SCAMMED BY BURLOW AND SPENCER I have found the OSIC and used the OSIC to report the negligence and I am now creating a case against the fake immigration advisor who took 1500.00 from me and failed to gain my residency. If this wonderful Government regulation and advisory board would be able to have a greater presence in the community, online and to the knowledge of the general public, people would use them to find a Nationally registered Immigration advisor, cases would be filed correctly and there would be less stress on the HOME office and in the courts. As a business owner, I would be happy to fund this, advertise my nationally credited services through the OSIC and have a greater presence and a greater knowledge in the community, online and to the easier access of people making immigration applications equalling more business. This is also a tax deduction. THE OSIC NEEDS A GREATER COMMUNITY STANDING, INFLUENCE AND PRESENCE. IT IS A ...... WONDERFUL...... Service provided by government and it needs to be backed!!! I am Australian, and if i knew that this was the Benchmark to check the above stated immigration solicitor I would have. I googled "Immigration Solicitor" and I thought I found a good one. the Best. I got SCAMMED. THE OSIC IS ESSENTIAL TO PROTECT The community, Take pressure off the HOME office and the Courts. I would like to see a GREATER PRESENCE and Knowledge. Your service has saved me, and my residency in the UK. Thank you OSIC. Please, make yourself more known and your registered Immigration advisors more known and help the community with an online presence and make the national standards know to all us immigrants who want to use registered and genuine immigration advisor.
