What a great cottage. Clean and cosy. The bed in the master bedroom was really comfortable. The cottage is in a great position in the village, the pub is a 30 second walk up the road, and does amazing food and has friendly staff. There is a village cafe and shop too! The kitchen is well equipped. The lounge is cosy and comfy with a log burner. I would recommend bringing some extra logs with you. The shower was amazing and there was plenty of hot water. The parking is fine for one car, but isn't the easiest parking. We stayed for 3 nights, and would do so again.

Lovely cottage however please be wary if you decide to book this property. Take photos on arrival and departure. We recently stayed here and left the property in the same condition as we found it on arrival. You can imagine our surprise on returning home to receive a notification from Sykes Cottages of alleged damage to the tiles in the shower area said to be caused by fake tan. This was accompanies by a before photograph of a different area of the shower and a greatly enlarged area of tiling showing alleged staining I am 75 disabled and can just about stand in the shower. My husband is 78 neither one of us has ever used fake tan in our lives. I wrote to Sykes Cottages denying all knowledge or responsibility for the alleged damage. A few days later I received an email from them with an invoice for 150 for cleaning which they state took place over 3 days and included the shower screen. They had attempted to take the money from my account but had been unsuccessful as I had immediately canceled my card on receipt of their original letter. I have since been notified by them that the owner of the property has decided not to pursue this matter further. My advice would be to check the property and ensure you have photographic evidence on arrival and departure and notify them of any problems you find immediately I have since been notified
