We have been residents at this site for almost two years. When we originally bought our van the site was well managed and we had very few problems. They were dealt with quickly by the lovely manager. Sadly the site has gone from bad to worse. We have been without gas since Saturday morning. Yes, you read that correctly. In the coldest days of the year the gas ran out! Sadly so many residents were having to use electric heaters to keep warm so the electrics were constantly tripping out. We were told gas would be back Sunday dinner time. Dinner time cameand went and still no gas. If you ask what is happening you get no reply, but your posts get deleted. The site owner is sat in his lovely warm home, eating his hot food, and nice and clean. While those of us who are paying for that with our site fees, are sat in the cold, with no means of cooking a hot meal, as most vans have gas appliances, and no hot water to have a decent wash. And no, you cant boil a kettleit trips the electric. All it would take is a simple message on the site FB page to keep residents updated, but no! If you ask any questions, your posts are removed and you are excluded from the page. Now I have no idea if gas and electric is on or not, as I cant receive messages. It is a really lovely peaceful, welcoming site, and we have lovely neighbours. The owner needs to organise his staff, keep residents updated, and if those simple things were done, it would be a really good place to live. Not content with letting the gas run out in December, the powers that be managed to have it run out again at the end of January. They say residents are free to rent out vans on the site, it cost us in rental fees as we had to relocate guests to another site. Not the only ones who had to do this. Not even an apology or a chocolate this time!!

Stayed for 4 nights at this place. The accommodation itself was good and clean apart from one bedroom window seal broken and quite draughty at night in that particular room. However my 2 star is not reflective of this issue or the caravan accommodation itself. Its mainly to do with other occupants/residents. Some friendly faces but some busy bodies seems to have nothing better to do but snitch. Me and my wife are qualified driving instructors and 6 of us went to this place so in 2 separate cars. My daughter is test ready and will be going for her practical driving test soon after we returned from holiday. So we thought to keep her driving practice going whilst we were on vacation. Me and my wife took turns with her and made her drive from this place to wherever we travelled to on excursions. On our second day a lady from the neighbouring caravan approached me and said that you not allowed to drive on campus grounds with an L Plate, its in the rules. I apologised and said that I did not know then she reiterated that its in the rules that only full licence holders are allowed to drive. I read the information and guidance/instructions manual that was provided and could not find this rule anywhere. I was also ticked off when my wife received an email from the caravan owner that its been reported that twice our car came close to two other caravans. Total lies. Our cars that we teach in has dual controls and we are DVSA approved driving instructors and will not allow any incident to happen but stop the car before it does. Just seems to be nosy, busy bodies who have nothing else to do but sit around whole day in their cabins and look at what other residents are doing. We hardly stayed in the cabins only for sleep and to get stuff in between our excursions. Whenever we came back we find neighbouring residents in their cabins and does seem like they never leave their cabins. Will never stay here again after this experience as it left a bitter taste in our mouth due to this experience.
