The campsite is ok, we've been to worse but as a campsite it's perfectly fine The pitches are numbered, the shower/toilets are always clean and plenty of hot water for washing up also The campsite is a nice and quiet location and if you have a clear sky then you will get an inky black sky for stargazing When you enter the campsite there is a asking you call a number where someone confirms your details and tells you which pitch you have reserved All well and good but during our stay we did not see the owner or anyone else other than the other campers but as mentioned the facilities are cleaned several times a day There a sign/noticeboard with suggestions for places to eat but that's it Overall not bad at all but nobody to speak to or ask questions/advice

This campsite is well situated in the lakes, not too far away from civilisation and on the doorstep of some great walks and beautiful scenery. The plots are spacious, and you can choose either standard plot or electric hookup. There is plenty of room on the grounds so that if you wish a bit of seclusion, you can have some space (unless the site is very busy). The facilities on site are basic but complete their function. There are toilets, showers, sinks for washing up, and a waste area. None of these look to be completed and could do with a little focus. However, given that this is a working farm and livestock can be seen in the next field, I'm not surprised. I would recommend this site for anyone staying in the lakes.

Lovely campsite, very basic toilet and shower room but does the job. Plenty of room for camping and to park up, can imagine being busy in summer though, dog friendly as long they're on leads as there are lots of gorgeous cats around on the farm! We had a lovely time. Optional electric hook up too for caravans or tents etc. Walkability: Lots of walks and hikes around the area and lots to see!

This campsite is perfect for those who come to the lakes to enjoy the outdoors. It is only a short drive away from some fantastic walks and also on the other hand only a short drive away from Cockermouth for supermarkets, etc. It is great value for money, with electric showers, toilets and washing up facilities. There is also perfect phone signal, we have found at other campsites that there is little to none in certain areas of the Lake District. We will definitely be returning to this campsite multiple times. Dog-friendliness: We took our dog with us and it was perfect because the campsite was lovely and quiet.
