I am saddened to be writing this but I feel I have no choice. After a very long stay here at the hotel (Holiday inn Metrocentre) I have been witnessing now for a good few month Victoria the manager leaves the hotel understaffed and at times over staffed. She will implement rules when she feels like it and the rules only go for staff and not herself. Ive witnessed her speak about guests and staff and dirty looks being exchanged after the guest have left. she is breaking so many rules as to how a business should be run! Me and my family are being discriminated against and especially my 6year old son. He is special needs with high levels of SEMH and Autism and he is now saying that he is not loved here and wants to leave after overhearing that hes an apparent nightmare! I have other issues I have been here seven month now and my ex who I have a DV order against arrived at the hotel, I had to leave the hotel and uplift my kids, leave all of my items in the room and escape through the fire door, staff on that night shift were amazing but I was homeless with special needs kids for the following day until the individual left, I then arrived back with the all clear he had checked out to then speak to Vicky about this and the reply I received was he would have to physically abuse you in the hotel before we can do anything, even with a restraining order put on the table. The police were involved night staff were amazing but no protection from the manager. I am having to cut my stay short because the staffs attitude have changed towards us all of a sudden to then hear on the grape vine that she has individually singled us out as a family and said I know too much, staff are now told not to fraternise with the guests, especially us, hang on. Isnt this the whole top and bottom of a hotel, to make the guests comfortable and to feel at home? Im leaving to go home early as when complaint went in she didnt like it and called the police. as soon as she walks into the hotel the atmosphere changes, everyones mood drops, from happy to on edge within seconds! I have heard her slating staff guests and HR to her boyfriend and her friends on the phone, She doesn't want to entertain any problem at hand. Smoking out of the fire exit along side her office, Ive seen a lot, not told, seen** A LOT since Ive been here. Its hard not to when youve been here so long! Ive witnessed her put rooms out of order so she doesnt have to have certain individuals in the hotel discrimination at its best.
