        Optician I saw was very thorough and COVID-aware (double masked with surgical and FFP2?). Assistant offered to wear a mask (surgical) for screening check. Good option if you have been avoiding opticians up til now and are still trying to avoid COVID infection.

        I had an eye test and bought some new glasses just before Christmas 2020 and was extremely pleased with how good the safety, cleanliness and attentiveness of the staff, optometrist and premises were. I was hesitant to have an eye test during a pandemic but needed a change in prescription. As soon as I entered the shop I felt instantly at ease. I collected my new specs just after new years, which are a god send, and again was treated with a smile and enough anti-bac hand gel to disinfect an elephant. I felt more at ease in Scrivens than I did at the doctors. Can't recommend them enough and the glasses are brilliant too.
