Newly reopened and the new owner is friendly and clued in. Food is fantastic - we had the open sandwiches and are looking forward to trying the rest of the menu. Apparently it will be dog friendly throughout. Id recommend you give it a try

A friend and I called in here on the basis that we hadn't been before, and were hugely surprised at what we found. A genuine ale house, with an ever changing variety of excellent ales, in a lovely, interesting old building with all sorts of cosy corners, and a great pub garden. Friendly, helpful staff and a manager who really knows his beer. Will be hosting beer festivals during the year too. Didn't eat, but if the food is half as good as the ale, then this will be a choice venue. Very impressed, and we'll be returning soon.
