Exactly what you want in a country pub. Friendly, welcoming staff, a nice cosy, traditional interior, and some good local ales

Delightful pub in an unspoilt village. Haven't been back for a couple of years, but the delay was worth it. I had the roasted belly pork with veg and mustard mash. The pork and crackling were done to a tee, while the veg portion was just cooked right, i.e. crunchy and the mash just so... The boss, in her veggy mode, had the beetroot and quinoa burger which was great. But too many skinny chips. Nice pint of beer and a large Shiraz to accompany. Will be back much sooner...
