I have been using Ruth's services for a number of months now, and the benefits have been massive. I now have a much deeper insight into the kinds of behaviours and thoughts that I sometimes get that can cause me problems. By understanding them I can reframe my thinking for the better. Ruth has a way of asking just the right questions and saying the right things to trigger deep introspection without feeling intrusive or pushy. Counselling is something that people seem to shy away from, particularly men, and this is a huge shame because everybody could benefit from it, even people who don't feel like there's anything "wrong" with them. I would recommend Ruth at Woodstock Counselling to absolutely everyone.

I feel a little uncomfortable writing about private matters so publicly, but if you're looking for some help from someone with empathy and practicality, who can make a very quick impact on the quality of your life, I wouldn't hesitate to recommend her. I've sent a few friends in her direction, and am happy to say THAT on a google recommendation!

An investment in self care Making the decision to see Ruth wasn't an easy one as I felt that I 'didn't need help' but she came highly recommended by people I trusted, so I decided to book an appointment....I'm so glad I did. She has helped me to navigate the breakdown of my marriage and all the complications that come with that which has been toughest time of my life. It's a serious financial investment but one I feel has been more than worth it and has not only guided me through an acutely traumatic time but has equipped me with tools to use in the future. I've learned some really important lessons about the way I build and maintain relationships and how there can be some detrimental patterns of behaviour that can easily repeat themselves in often hidden ways. I feel sure that my time seeing Ruth will help me to start and maintain healthier relationships and I feel I will be able to go back for 'top ups' if I need to. Thank you.
