Fairly average fish and chip shop - Ive had worse but Ive had much better. The chips werent particularly crisp and the cod had quite a thick batter that was a bit stodgy on the inside; both were quite greasy. The fish itself was fine but completely fell apart as soon as a knife and fork touched it. The fish was already cooked when I came into the shop but I was assured it was recently cooked (they would say that wouldnt they?) Cod, small chips and mushy peas cost 10.50. The portion sizes were generous. The food was placed in a plastic bag rather than a paper one which is never a good sign, and would have made it go even soggier if I didnt remove it as soon as I got to the car. Ok if youre local and dont want too drive far but I certainly wouldnt go out of my way to get food from here when there are better options such as Skippers not far away.
