I was recommended Khan Solicitors from a family friend for a time critical property matter. There are a few things that raised red flags for me. a) While getting quotes their initial quote was 2.5 x higher that other Solicitors including big firms. b) There was very little transparency on what was suppose to be done for the matter and I had to ask questions, which were repeatedly ignored. c) Very poor communication, it took me 3 days to finally get someone to call me back after initial quote and multiple queries raised about the process. Overall I did not feel confident to go with them due to lack of transparency and due process vs fees quoted did not match up to other solicitors I was speaking to. I also felt pushed to make a decision, which I took as a worrying sign. I got the feeling they might be outsourcing work to network of friendly solicitors which may not uphold the standards of Khan solicitors. If this is the case I would recommend Khan solicitors mention this to the customers outright as this would protect their reputation. My comment about on outsourcing is based on the fact the person who recommended this firm to me has come through all other times on various engagements and recommendations.

I went to this firm in good faith recommended by a family member, as there was a good track record. Our case was handled very carelessly and by a lawyer who misled us throughout the whole process. This firm has basically conned us out of around 3,000 that couldve been used for something other than legal fees. It became apparent that another case alongside ours was done in the same fashion and will definitely not use this firm ever again and will never recommend. Our lawyer told us that they could bypass the requirement to meet in person by arguing that the COVID-19 pandemic would be a justification for not meeting and that the valid TB test certificate was not a requirement due to a visa being for 6 months or less, but that was mentioned in the rejection letter from the home office as well as other things. I would go as far to say that I would avoid this firm like COVID-19.
