Island Health

Despite multiple attempts to book an appointment, the online system is consistently unavailable, and the phone line directs you to fill out an online form instead. This has led to a week-long struggle to secure an appointment, with no success. Overall, I feel that Island Health GP's booking system is severely lacking, and the level of customer service provided is unacceptable. I would not recommend this practice to anyone seeking reliable and efficient healthcare.

Almost useless, take ages so make appointments. Surgery is closed on random days of the week. Looks like staff members at reception playing for time for some reason. If you live at isle of dogs you can try another surgery called Barkantine on westferry road.

My experience at this practice has been great. Interested in actually finding cause of my symptoms and not just handing me a prescription. Knowledgeable doctor who listened and then prescribed correct medication which resolved my issue. Amazing friendly staff in the practice too.

I have been registered here, along with my family, for about five years. It has been going steadily downhill, making it harder and harder to speak to someone or have a doctors appointment. The medical staff are great but the admin is impossible to deal with. Today I took time off work to take my toddler out of nursery to go to a booked preschool immunisation appointment. When we arrive there are A4 printed signs saying the centre is shut today for staff training and there is no-one inside to talk to (and of course no one on the phone either).

In my two years since I've been a patient of this GP practice I felt like I always received the best care and support, doctors genuinely want to help. The online booking system works very well in my case as my queries have always been responded within 24 hours.
