Raised possibly the brightest person in the history of the world in Jamie Harrison - Isaac Newton, stephen hawking and albert einstein's daughter. He cruised through this school from dolphins to otters and came out with 875 gsces and 48 a-levels. He then gained 6541 degrees at the very school including one in being the greatest pot wash who ever lived. He could not get any better and its all because of this school. Lunches are below average though.

LEFT THIS SCHOOL IN JANUARY 2018 - Updated this due to last paragraph being added. Head Teacher bringing the School Down. Don't be fooled by the smile and welcoming image she portrays. With my personal experience read below, X - Untouchable and Unapproachable X - Complaints are always responded with a robotic tone of language. e.g. " leave it with me" to.most questions and nothing done. X - NO VOICE - Falls on deaf ears. X - Ofsted grading lower then other Schools in the area. X - Lots of playground bullying. X - Puts things in place but never carry them through. E.g. signing in parents for assembly that went down like a lead balloon. X - NO Dressing up for World Book Day, ." WHERE'S BEING KIDS" and learning through play gone. After all it's about a favourite book character. X - Office only open from 8.45am not much good if you need to talk to them and a queue out the door. POSITIVES - which there were a few; X - You CAN take your child out lunchtimes! - like I did, to avoid extra saliva being added to your school meals and physical assault. X - Teachers were brilliant! Motivated, dedicated, passionate, reliable, approachable, gave/give 110%. How do I know, because I'd been at that school for 9 years roughly with my 2 children and went through (3 Head Teachers). A Head, in my opinion, can make or break a school - hmmm will leave that up to you to judge. This is purely my story. MY LEAVING HAS OBVIOUSLY HAD AN IMPACT AS I'VE UPDATED THIS POST AS THEY ARE NOW OPENING THEIR OWN SCHOOL CLUB. TOO LITTLE TOO LATE..Ive gone to a school that is excellent on Ofsted and class size is half of what this school accommodates. I lived around the corner from Carrhead Primary but DO NOT jeopardize over quality for your child. I made the right choice to leave this school when my son just started into Year 5.
