My father was in this nursing home for 8 months during that time he had 7 catheter retentions! Several injuries to his arms and was fed meat when he is a vegetarian. My Father was bed bound, had dementia and was catheterised. He had no stimulation whatsoever. He was never removed from his bedroom to join in activities, have a shower or taken out for walks. Where he is now they do all three as well as provide stimulation in his room. During the winter the windows were always kept open and I often arrived to find my father extremely cold with a thin sheet covering him. We asked on numerous occasions for blankets which were never provided. We ended up buying our own. We also purchased one for another resident who was seen to be in the same predicament. The food,cheap & not so cheerful, soups were packet variety. The management and regional manager were extremely unprofessional in dealing with our concerns for the care of our Fathers health and mental well being. Do not consider!
