Attended Queensway Surgery recently in the the morning. Quite incredible, only one other patient in the waiting room. Very very quiet very peaceful serene atmosphere. No staff present apart from the odd person passing casually through and a receptionist sat down looking very relaxed as no phones seemed to be ringing off the hook. Clearly it would appear that the surgery largely has sensibly completely disregarded government guidelines regarding returning to pre lockdown work practices including having us, the great unwashed physically attend the surgery. Indeed, apart from the empty waiting room ( didn't it used to be very busy in in the mornings pre covid?) no conversation or contact was made with any staff on entering the building as there is a booking station at the entrance. Very sensible. Was seen by a student member of staff who was efficient dealt with the procedure professionally and who was very nice. That apart I do not recall seeing any other staff members or G.P. 's ( Do they still have doctors at the the surgery?), moving about the building or going in and out of the various rooms. Rather than the image of a high pressure overworked stressful staff and atmosphere in the surgeries up and down the the country with rammed waiting rooms, Clearly Queensway has it sorted as the atmosphere was one of completely serenity and calm, it was like the Marie Celeste. You could possibly be forgiven if you wondered why it is so hard to book an appointment using a very inflexible booking system and get past the advanced guard of receptionists. Anyhow, Stay Safe

Can't wait to change surgeries. The place is seriously mismanaged ro the point of extremely frustrating and disappointing patient experience. It's been my local practice for more than 20 years and after my current episode of "care" I will be moving to another practice. ASAP

Terrible surgery, they have a ridiculous system in place where you have to phone at 8am to make an appointment that day but they won't let you have an appointment time that suits you. Some of us work for a living, so 11am is no good, what is the point of being open until 6pm if you don't let people have appointments after school hours? They once prescribed my daughter medication I'd never heard of, claiming the hospital told them to; they hadn't. Luckily I check what we are being prescribed, but some people would think if it's prescribed then it must be meant for them. If you can avoid this surgery then do, I don't think there could be anywhere worse!
