We had a kitchen extension fitted during the lockdown, Stuart and his team were Extremely professional throughout come rain or wind they were here making sure progress was made, they also fixed a lot of other issues we discovered during the build, a leaking waste pipe, rotten joists, all issues we would not have discovered if we didnt have the extension. The vision Stuart showed us at the start of the project was identical to the finished result. We love our new kitchen and it has made such a difference to the house. We can not thank you enough. Services: Install flooring, TV mounting, Repair water fixtures, Paint indoors

Hub are working next door to me. They've worked on the roof on our extension whilst joining the two buildings and unfortunately we had water ingress in to our room. There's a large water stain on the wall running from the roof and wall they were working on, and the wall itself was wet through with mold appearing. We're going to have to remove the unit and sort the mold out behind it and repaint the wall, no huge deal. I told my new neighbors about the issue who said they would pass it on to the contractor, only for us to be ignored. I followed up and Stuart came around to the door. Stuart explained to me that he's been in the trade for several years and can tell me that it's not his fault (if I had a pennye eh? :) He tried to tell me that mold doesn't appear in just a few days (which a quick Google search will clearly show you that it does) and that they hadn't left my roof uncovered, although I had seen otherwise with my own eyes. After three years of living here and knowing the owners before, it has only happened once while they were working on the joint, and not since either. Something that's obvious when looking at the wall itself. It was a lot of water, once. In all honesty, I was expecting to be ignored and have them deny any responsibility, which wasn't going to really bother me given that it's now dry again, their work has finished there and just needs a lick of paint and the units sorting. I however found Stuart to be agressive, dismissive and patronising, telling me that I'm clearly "trying it on", and "that kind of person". I'm honestly not that hard up . This despite me trying to be reasonable and keep things calm although maybe I didn't do my best. A bit surprising as a business owner myself given how much I care about my reputation. There was ways of saying "it's nothing to do with us" or "I don't agree with you", without being so aggressive and resorting to calling me a lier and a fraud. It was clear that Stuart was entrenched in his view before he even came to talk to me. We've lived in the house for three years so know what to expect. I've spoken to the insurance who are happy to take it up, but I may just end up fixing it myself and leave Hub this objective review which I've spent far too much time typing. Hey, it's lock down and there isn't much else to do other than fix my previous temporary water feature. You only know how good a company is until you have an issue with them. A shame as I didn't expect to be called a lier for telling them about water running in from the roof they were working on in front of my fiancee and daughter. I'll remove the review if we can let bygones be bygones. We all have bad days after all and I really did get the impression that Stuart thought I wanted him to redecorate my whole room in the style of Buckingham Palace because I'm some sort of lower class theif out to get pennies.
