At first I gave the representative the benefit of the doubt , thinking that I had been a little too judgemental of his moving around my furniture and shifting things off the table without first asking. Then came the ignoring of my questions, his domineering , authoritarian attitude ! Again, I gave him the benefit of the doubt. Weeks later, I had a follow up appointment from a different person, who was respectful in every way, so I chose not to complain about the introductory problems. But today, the attitude of the receptionist verified my previous concern of dictatorial authoritarianism. I have recently downsized following a hospitalization. (That comes with discomforts and stresses of its own.) I have found that I have to stay calm and relax as my memory is not as efficient as it was. ( a major stress factor) I called to explain that I had recently moved and that in so doing, my hearing aid was damaged and I was immediately, mid-sentence, asked for my postcode. I hesitated for a second as I am just learning my new one ! Again " What is your post code?" I asked for a minute while I regrouped-- "What is your Post code - just give me your postcode- alright then give me your name . . . " I asked for a minute as by then my head was swimming and I couldn't remember anything ! Again, -- "Then give me your name - I need your name. . . " I struggled to find the right words and kept saying please give me a minute -- "I NEED your name" -- The bombardment did not stop. I kept asking for a moment to remember everything. I realised the lady did not give her name so why was she so demanding of mine ? I was too upset to continue the conversation so said that I was going hang up until I could regroup. Then immediately, I had a call from a number that I did not recognize. It was someone from the same company saying that she had been told I had broken my glasses and asking my name. I told her I was too upset to talk and said that I was sorry that I called the company in the first place. Thus followed 3 more calls in quick succession! I needed a break as my head was spinning. All that could have been avoided, had the employees been trained in general people skills (and maybe, compassion ?), Mainly they should be taught HOW to LISTEN to a customer - not just HEAR and ASSUME . I am at a loss as to how to proceed but I am sure I will. This behaviour from St Annes Hearing Centre should never be repeated. NO customer should ever be treated in such a discourtious manner. (especially when paying for a high-end product! ) It is hardly "value for money" when treated with absolute disrespect!

AKA Lytham Hearing Centre AKA Henley Hearing Care Ltd After receiving a random telephone call and having a visit my mum was persuaded to order a hearing aid for 2000 which wasnt a problem but I wanted to verify it was a kosher company as Companies House stated it was a dormant company and I wanted to verify it was legally trading. I rang the office but the receptionist could not verify the company trading registration number and wouldnt send me a letterhead for me to verify the details. She said the director would call me back but he never did. My mum was told they had an office in Lytham St Annes but in fact this is closed down and they only have the one miles away in Henley. I couldnt find any good reviews at all so my mum cancelled the order as she was now concerned about handing over 2000 to a company that she couldnt verify. On cancelling the order, the director came round banging on her door asking to be let in as she could now have the hearing aid for free! At 84yrs old she asked the director to come back when her husband was in. He never came back. I would be very wary of ordering from this company without doing your homework.
